Even Chance is a San Diego based, non-profit, volunteer run organization. It is Even Chance’s mission to re-educate the general public about pit bulls in light of all the misinformation released by the media. In conjunction with our education and advocacy efforts, one of our main goals is to assist pit bulls in need. We rehabilitate and medically treat them if necessary and ultimately find safe and loving forever homes.
There are plenty of opportunities to help us with our effort, ranging from fostering a potential adoptee, volunteering, or providing a donation.

Even Chance strives to rescue temperamentally sound dogs from Southern California City/County Shelters, animal hospitals, as well as dogs seized form organized dog fighting rings and humane cases.
GOALS WE ARE WORKING TOWARDS:
-Create and implement programs to promote and increase adoptions of shelter pit bulls.
-Partnering with and promotion of existing low-cost spay and neuter programs as well as founding a pit bull only low-cost program.
-Low-cost pit bull training in a non-judgmental setting.
-Public and community education to help dispel myths and fears surrounding pit bulls.
-Pit bull ambassador programs using CGC and ATTS testing.
-Anti-breed specific legislation efforts.
-Resource development for pit bull owners and/or potential owners.
-Training programs for Animal Control Officers that encourage voluntary compliance from problem pit bull owners in effort to fix the problem instead of manage it.
